We'd Like You to Meet Chef Bear

Cave B Estate Winery is thrilled to be working with SageCliffe's new Executive Chef, Bear Ullman.

Born and raised in Hawaii, Bear grew up with a love of nature and creative expression, ultimately finding his place in culinary expression.

Bear most recently worked in Walla Walla, where he was Executive Chef of the Marcus Whitman Hotel for ten years. It was there that he began working intimately with local Winemaker's, hosting memorable wine dinners that highlighted of art of food and wine pairing. It was also there that he actually became good friends with our Winemaker, Freddy Arredondo. So, given that friendship and his respect for Freddy's work, it didn't take him long to decide that this was where he wanted to be.

Chef Bear is looking forward to collaborating with Freddy on various Tendrils fare and special winery events, saying that his "favorite Pinot is a Cab"! And needless to say, Freddy is anxious to start working with Bear. Their long time friendship, which extends to their children, and their love of food and wine, will no doubt foster an incredible relationship for all of us to enjoy.
